Visa Waiver Program
The Visa Waiver Program allows nationals of eligible countries to apply for admission to the United States for ninety (90) days or less, as nonimmigrant visitors for business or pleasure, without first obtaining a nonimmigrant visa. Nonimmigrants who enter will be accorded either a Waiver of Tourist (WT) or Waiver of Business (WB) status for no more than 90 days. This status may not be extended or changed to another nonimmigrant status from within the US.
In order to be eligible to receive the visa waiver upon entry to the U.S., you meet the following requirements:
- be a national of one of the countries listed below
- hold a machine readable passport issued by your country
- hold a return ticket to your home country for a date not more than 3 months in the future
