International Graduate Student Orientation
Each year Cornell welcomes over 2000 new international graduate and professional students from approximately 120 countries to campus to begin new degree programs. To provide a special welcome and introduction to academics and life at Cornell, the International Students and Scholars Office and the Graduate School jointly host the Graduate and Professional Student Orientation Program on the Sunday before the start of Fall semester classes.
The 2007 International Graduate and Professional Student Orientation Program will take place on Saturday, August 18th.
The program will feature faculty, staff, and fellow graduate and professional students from across the university, providing information and advice for new students on university policies, academic life, immigration requirements, health, and safety. For more details, please visit the Graduate and Professional Student Orientation schedule.
The ISSO invites those who cannot attend the August 20 Graduate and Professional Student Orientation to attend an abbreviated international student orientation program at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, in room G-10 Biotechnology Building. Ongoing programs and social events throughout the Fall and Spring semesters will provide additional opportunities for new students to meet others and successfully navigate their graduate and professional programs.
Please email us if you have questions about this program.
