Perhaps you forgot or lost your I-20 / DS-2019? Or forgot to get a recent travel signature? Or you have a recent update and you want an updated form (employment information update, cap gap extension, change of major). We can reprint your I-20 / DS-2019 for any or these or other reasons.
If you are traveling and you do not have your I-20 or DS-2019 with you, or you do not have a valid travel signature on your I-20 or DS-2019, we can send you a reprint of your form with an updated travel signature wherever you are in the world!
We will send you your new form by regular mail within 2 business days after you submit this form. If you want us to use an express mail company to send the form to you, please follow the directions linked here. We cannot charge your bursar account for express charges. Scanned forms are not legal documents, so we cannot send your form electronically.
Not Enough Time?
If you are traveling back to the U.S. too soon to receive a new form by mail, don't panic! When you reach the port of entry, explain to the port of entry officer that you forgot your I-20 or DS-2019, and ask the officer to let you in to the US with an "I-515." The I-515 will allow you entry to the U.S. in F1 or J1 status for 30 days. If you get an I-515 at the port, visit the Office of Global Learning once you arrive back in Ithaca, and we will help you complete the requirements.
Have you already applying for an OPT I-20, but missed the 30-day window for mailing your application? Don't request a reprint. Request a cancellation of your first OPT request, and then Go to the OPT I-20 request page for a new recommendation.
